Sage Bray Varon
Writer, Poet, Photographer, Mixed Media artist, Podcaster, Entrepreneur, Publisher, & Teacher… Sharing how to thrive creatively everywhere I go.
The previous decade, Sage poured most of her energy and time into her publishing company, Tenth Muse Arts whose flagship periodical, The Polymer Arts, worked to raise the perception and practice of polymer clay and mixed media arts from a craft to a fine art form. Her magazines, books, and popular blog The Weekly Polymer Arts were read all over the world and are, to this day, used as teaching aids in everything from local workshops to college classrooms.
Sage is, herself, an award-winning mixed media artist and a photographer specializing in artistic macro and ICM (intentional camera movement) photography. Not ever happy with just one avenue of creativity and productivity, she is also a published poet and short story writer, veteran freelance writer, graphic designer, and entrepreneur.
Her highest passion, however, is teaching and sharing with others. Since the costs, complications, and general demise of the world as we know it in 2020 forced Sage to suspend publication productions, she has been looking for ways to continue emboldening creatives of all kinds. This podcast is the transformation of a blog called This Creative Habit which, although it had a loyal following, didn’t connect with people the way she was used to with publications. Then a conversation about podcasting changed all that. So, here is her newest obsession and avenue for sharing her other major passion, creativity and artistic expressio
